The Cavendish Resort Area is actually a combination of small communities which represent a typical Island way of life.  There is the busy fishing village of North Rustico with a wonderful boardwalk along the wharf and North Rustico Bay.  There is a large fresh fish market, you can book deep sea fishing excursions or take a kayaking lesson from trained instructors.  Rustico also features the area’s larger food market, a new outdoor fitness center, and more.  Stanley Bridge (formerly called “Carmody” in historic times) boosts wonderful views of New London Bay and the Cavendish sandspit and has dining overlooking the water.  We are also only a few minutes from New Glasgow, a quaint village with craft & art shops and restaurants, with the well-known PEI Preserve Company, and the long standing traditional lobster supper at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers.
